The philosophy of the Arts & Crafts movement was deeply based in a set of moral and humane principles. These connect with those shared by Quakers. This midweek course will focus on the connection between the Quakers and the Arts & Crafts movement through talks, looking at art together, and a trip to Kelmscott Manor, the country home of William Morris. (Cost of this event includes admission to Kelmscott.)
Roger Homan is Professor of Religious Studies at the University of Brighton, author of The Art of the Sublime and numerous articles on Quaker aesthetics. Ben Pink Dandelion is a Woodbrooke tutor and the author of numerous books and articles on Quakerism.
