Friends and the way of the mystic

November 21-23, 2008

Harvey Gillman

At the heart of mysticism lies the human need for meaning, communion, and sense of place within the universe. We shall explore the ways in which different forms of mysticism relate to the Quaker path of sacramental living within the everyday world. This weekend is open to everyone on a journey of discovery.

Harvey Gillman has been Outreach Secretary for British Friends, Swarthmore lecturer, and Rowntree Quaker Fellow. He is also a poet and his latest book is on spirituality and language.
