Charney Manor stands by the church in the small village of Charney Bassett in the Vale of the White Horse. It is about 14 miles south-west of Oxford and the same distance west of Didcot.

Public Transport

Trains from London every hour to Didcot Parkway. Taxi from Didcot to Charney Bassett. Coming from the North, Didcot Parkway is on the West Coast Line between Oxford and Reading.

Car

From the Midlands and North - Follow the A34 around Oxford to the Botley Roundabout. Take the A420 Swindon road for 12 miles and turn left for Charney Bassett.

From the Southwest - Exit at Junction 15 on the M4. Follow the A420. About 4 miles after Faringdon, take a right turn, signposted Stanford in the Vale & Pusey for Charney Bassett.
